Clemence K.A. Makanya is a Zimbabwean technology entrepreneur and the founder of SwiftAid, a national platform built to modernize emergency response across ambulance, fire, and police services. Driven by a passion for solving real public challenges, Clemence created SwiftAid to close long-standing gaps in response times, coordination, and access to emergency help.
He believes every Zimbabwean deserves fast, reliable assistance—whether in a city or remote village. His vision is to unify all emergency services on one digital system supported by government, councils, hospitals, and private operators, with both app and WhatsApp access.
Clemence’s mission is clear:
Use technology to save lives and make emergency help accessible to every citizen.
Under his leadership, SwiftAid aims to become Zimbabwe’s first fully integrated emergency response platform and a model for innovation across the region.
